Building services / coordinated routes

Construction
piping solutions.

Organise plantroom connections, risers and floor branches around service zones, installation access and handover requirements.

Application analysis

Coordinate pipework with the building plan.

Create a separate service schedule for domestic water, closed-loop heating and equipment utilities. Record the design conditions, materials, seals and acceptance requirements for each service. Divide the building into identifiable zones with clear isolation and maintenance boundaries.

Coordinate risers, ceiling routes, penetrations and equipment connections on the building drawings. Allocate responsibility for supports, anchors, guides, movement allowances and fire-stopping interfaces. Include installation sequencing, testing and the as-built record in the package brief.

Commercial buildings

Coordinate plantrooms, floor risers and tenant branches.

Mixed-use projects

Keep domestic-water and thermal-system specifications distinct.

Renovations

Define tie-in points and staged shutdowns around occupied areas.

Concept arrangement / 02

Part-number starting points

Components to review.

Review catalogue dimensions, materials and connection types alongside the service schedule. Add selected part numbers to your enquiry.

Specify the size, pipe outside diameter, material, seal, joining system and tool. Include the intended duty and required product acceptance documents with the enquiry.

Prepare the next conversation

A focused application brief.

  2. Riser heights and coordinated routes
  3. Design conditions for each service
  4. Support and penetration responsibilities
  5. Project acceptance and handover requirements

Questions worth resolving

Before the specification is fixed.

How should different building services be scheduled?

Give each service its own fluid, design conditions, material, seal, connection method and acceptance requirements.

What belongs in the support brief?

Record pipe loads, support positions, anchors, guides, movement allowances and the responsibilities for structural connections.

How should staged works be organised?

Mark tie-in points, isolation boundaries, temporary-service requirements and the sequence for testing and reinstatement.
